bmw ev dashboard

BMW EV DASHBOARD // ONLINE ELECTRIC VEHICLE TEST APPLICATION FOR BMW

http://bmwactivatethefuture.com/index.php/map

Strategy, Design Concepts and User Experience Architecture for the BMW Electric Vehicle Dashboard interactive/mobile application on the BMW Activate The Future website.

The BMW EV (Electric Vehicle) Dashboard shows you the impact of electric vehicles on the environment and your wallet. The iPhone/Android app allows users to log their commutes by syncing trips to the online dashboard. Users can earn badges by completing some tasks that involve commitment with the process.

It is a simple, fun way for users to test EV cars prior to buying them, and for BMW to track how people use their vehicles and thus inform their research into the next generation of cars.

homegoods website

HOMEGOODS // REDESIGN THE ONLINE PRESENCE OF HOMEGOODS.COM

http://www.homegoods.com

Strategy, Design Concepts and User Experience Architecture for the HomeGoods site redesign project.

The main challenge was to create an online realm that did not associate with e-commerce (Homegoods can’t sell online due to their business model) and at the same time was a reference and an incentive for the customers to engage with Homegoods’ retail stores.

Design process comprehended etnographical research, digital strategy, persona creation, design workshops, sitemap and wireframe design. I followed all the process from interviewing users to Q&A and launch.

In order to maximise stakeholder’s feedback and a determined agile approach, all annotations and presentations to the client were made directly on designs, helping better communicate the visual direction and the prompt development of the project.

generation green

Generation Green is a schools and community programme from British Gas, devised to promote environmental awareness by giving schools and parents advice and easy to take actions which can earn them green leaves for their school.

The generation green site was conceived under a simple principle: teachers don’t have much free time, and any supporting service to be offered to them had to be simple yet with enough substance for the schools to consider introducing it into their already busy study programmes.

Most of the site’s interactive process are either triggered by simple calls to action, or managed as linear processes that won’t take more than 5 minutes to complete.

In order to facilitate the transition and learning from the viewing to the managing of the site, the administrating section is just a series of active buttons on top of the same page view, and all interactive tasks occur inline, in simple 3- to 4-step linear processes.

The whole wireframing process was conducted in the Axure RP application, thus allowing a working prototype in every step of the wireframing process, greatly simplifying the client’s understanding of the site, and allowing us to directly test the iterations on professors and other knowledgeable stockholders. This allowed our team to take a rather small project and convert it into a comprehensive, robust, full-fledged nationwide programme, with the client’s idea of what the final product will be like all along the process path.

energy saver report

User Experience and wireframing for of the Energy Saver Report version 2, for British Gas.

The Energy Saver Report is a service site by British Gas where customers can follow and be advice on how to make their houses and lives more energy efficient.

After taking a 7 question survey, customers are given a report of how their house or flat stands in terms of energy efficiency, and an opportunity to enroll for the energy plan, a dashboard-like panel where in simple three steps: ‘Your Current Usage’ shows the user how they’re currently doing in terms of energy saving; ‘Build Your Plan’ gives them efficiency suggestions and allows users to pledge energy saving activities; ‘Complete your Plan’ keeps track of those pledges and gives you a look on what your consumption will be if you take into actions the previous pledges.

With the Energy Planner customers can completely manage and improve their energy consumption and efficiency, so they can be greener and more efficient, and spend less in energy, all at the same time.
